I designed a 5-page website dedicated to exploring the Romanticism art movement. The site includes sections on the principles, history, major artists, and a gallery of key artworks, providing users with an immersive experience of this influential movement.
The design focused on capturing the bold and expressive nature of Romanticism while ensuring simplicity and intuitive navigation. I prioritized effective use of whitespace and visual hierarchy to enhance user engagement and ease of exploration.
The initial project plan grouped Romanticism content into three sections: Principles & History, Major Artists, and Gallery. This setup combined too much information, making it harder for users to follow.
The updated structure splits the content into five pages: Home, About, History & Context, Artists, and Gallery.
User tests showed that the new layout made it easier to find information and understand the movement. The clear separation of topics helped users follow the content step by step, improving navigation and overall experience.
The final design successfully enhances the learning experience by breaking down complex information into smaller, more manageable sections. This structure not only improves usability but also encourages users to explore the Romanticism movement at their own pace.
